Krispy Kreme Meets Hershey’s

Napoleones is one of my must-haves whenever I come to Megamall. During that napoleonesdix stage, I even grounded myself from passing building A to cushion the temptation. But now, even if I have no business in building A, I earnestly come there to get a bite of my favorite dough. Of course, not DD because it’s in building B, not CS and MD since there is none there. It’s Krispy Kreme (KK)!

Yesterday was a double treat for me since KK goes Hershey’s. Well, I am a self-confessed chocodix and you could just imagine my adrenalin rush to get a bite of the newest flavors of the coolest dough in town: p I must say that KK’s Cookies and Cream and Dark Chocolate are luscious!

Shown are the newest flavors of KK, except for the rainbow sprinkled piece. That and the original glazed doughs are my daughter’s favorites. Of course, we didn’t count it to complete the half dozed since it is a freebie: p

Even if I’m kind of pretending to be watchful of my calories intakes, I would not have second thoughts of getting a mouthful of the new flavors over and over :p I can sacrifice my CS Triple Chocó just to taste KK again.

Friday the Thirteenth

Thirteenth of July 2007, uhum, it is Friday the 13th.  I remember back then that as each new year began, I have been taking note at the calendar when is the 13th of the year will be.  As that day approaches, I had these eerie thoughts and feelings.  That it is indeed a not so lucky day, something untoward would happen especially if you come across with a black cat in those 24 hours.  I don’t remember who instilled these myths in me and how long I had believed in such.  And well, seemingly my common sense and logic were long been absent those times. :p

When I was a high school sophie, we were required to keep a journal, sort of “dear diary thing” which was checked by our Values Education teacher regularly.  I can vividly remember she was giggling when she returned mine and uttered, “Friday the 13th” … I got to that day’s entries at once.. Well, haven’t found anything funny in my journal (at my point of view :)… except for the unusual entry that said, “Today is Friday the 13th, I didn’t take a bath because it is bad for the health, blah blah...”  I approached my teacher after class and justified that entry was learned from my (now late) grandmother.  She explained to me that it is a myth, it has no basis, so on.  This began my scrutiny for the reason before believing into something.

Last year, I remember a friend worried that his birth date fell on a Friday.  He thought that it is not going to be a good year for him.  I was able to convince him that it is just a myth.  But then, he rose that 13 as a birth date is definitely not a good number.  Well, I am not a numerologist but that number is equivalent to four (4) which means death in numerology.  But 13 is not conclusively a bad number, though that is the common connotation.  This number implies extremity.  If you opted to be bad, then misfortunes are ahead of you and otherwise.  Conclusion:  be good.

Fallible reason before believing.  Numerals don’t dictate.  We are the architects of our own fate.

PS.  Nothing unusual or eerie happened to me or I was unaware :p  Btw, I tried to catch to Dokyu's feature on The Graveyard's Tales at 10:00 PM.  But hey, it was almost midnight and this remained unaired :( .... The next day I realized that Dokyu's network is ABC and not IBC, harharhar.  But how come I missed it still when I was switching channels to catch it?  Maybe, enough on the urband legends, jo :p  It was more worthwhile to have watched balikbayan and sabado boys. :p
